Copper alloys are often described as conductive, have good corrosion resistance, and are relatively easy to form and cast. Although copper alloys are useful engineering materials. Copper alloys consist primarily of copper and bronze. Zinc is the primary alloy in copper. Tin is the primary compound in most bronzes. Bronze can also contain aluminum, nickel, zinc, silicon, and other elements.Bronze is usually harder than copper, but still good resistance to corrosion though aluminium or stainless steel is usually used when making air knives.


Aluminum bronze alloys are very hard and have good wear properties, so they are often used in bearings. Beryllium copper alloys have good strength and fatigue properties, suitably lubricated, wear resistant. Beryllium copper is often used in plumes, bearings, and hedges.


Titanium alloys are lightweight, strong and have high corrosion resistance. Its density is much lower than that of steel, and the strength-to-weight ratio is excellent. For this reason, titanium alloys are used quite often, especially in the aerospace industry. One of the main disadvantages of titanium alloys is their high cost.


There are three types of titanium alloys: alpha alloys, beta alloys and alpha beta alloys. Alpha alloys do not respond to heat treatment and increase with the process of concentration in solution. Beta and alpha-beta alloys can be increased by heat treatment, especially precipitation hardening.


Titanium alloys are identified using alloy wheel ratios such as Ti-6Al-4V.
